This includes:\n\n \n\n The benefits of regular physical activity\, healthy eating habits\, strength and vitality as well as personal responsibility\, self-care\, and when to seek medical attention.\n Creative and stimulating mental activities\, and sharing your gifts with others.\n Self-esteem\, self-control\, and determination as a sense of direction.\n How a person contributes to their environment and community.\n\nThe following businesses/organizations will have information available that can help you maintain/improve your health and wellness. \n\n- Aging & Disability Resource Center of Columbia County (services & support available to people over 60 or between 18-59 who have a disability\, as well as their family)\n\n- Anytime Fitness of Portage (overall fitness\, programs and services they offer)\n\n- Blau Family Chiropractic & Integrated Wellness Center (posture screening-the importance of posture to good health & how\n\n to improve it) \n\n- Costco (departments (hearing aids\, optical\, & pharmacy) and products available to help with health and wellness) \n\n- Divine Savior Healthcare - Community Wellness & LaVita Fitness Center (community wellness offerings & fitness programs)\n\n- Laura's School of Dance & Tumbling (information on dance & tumbling classes in Portage)\n\n- Lions Club (Pardeeville diabetes awareness\, Portage vision screening for kids)\n\n- Optimist Club of Portage (volunteer opportunities\, Tri-Star Basketball)\n\n- Portage Parks and Recreation Department (sport & recreation programming for the spring/summer of 2018)\n\n- Portage Public Library (sign up for library cards\, learn about events/services\, & hands-on activity) \n\n- Portage Community School District (highlight all that the district does for staff\, students\, and the community)\n\n- Columbia County Health & Human Services\, Division of Public Health (flu vaccine for adults 19 & older ($40 or bill Medicare) & Tdap for kids 10 & older (free)\, well water test kits for qualified individuals\, and free gun locks from Prevent Suicide Columbia Co.)\n\n- Tobacco-Free Columbia /Dane County Coalition (tobacco-free living\, secondhand smoke\, e-cigs\, youth prevention\, etc.)\n\n- UW-Extension (available services\, including nutrition information for families)\n\n \n\nDoor Prizes (donated by the following businesses) will be given away throughout the event:\n\nCostco (1 year Gold Star Membership)\n\nAnytime Fitness (1 month membership and 3 month membership)\n\nLa Vita DSH Fitness Center (1 month membership)\n\nPortage Country Club (4 golf passes & carts for 18 holes)\n\nColdwater Canyon Golf Course (a round of golf\, with cart\, for 4 players)\n\nSaddle Ridge Golf Course (2 for 1 round of golf)\n\nCascade Mountain (two 1 day/night ski lift tickets)\n\nJ&J Fireball Lanes (two certificates for 3 games of bowling & shoes)\n\nLaura's School of Dance & Tumbling (certificate for a complimentary intro to gymnastics session)\n\nHead 2 Toe Salon (gift package of products with free haircut or manicure or $15 off a service for one male and one female)\n\nAspirations Salon & Day Spa (a free haircut and a free massage)\n\nHaareway Laser & Skin Center ($25 off a service)\n\nMary Kay Debbie Holland\, Consultant (body skin care package)\n\nLoretta Smith\, RN Foot Care Clinician (1 complimentary foot care session)\n\nPortage Plastics (variety of products related to health/wellness)\n\nAdditional donations: Fishing rod & reel\; Thermocell - mosquito repellent\; Childsafe Alarm\; 3 in 1 Sport Probe\n\n \n\n*** Organized by the Optimist Club of Portage & Portage Area School District ***\n\n\n\nQuestions?
