SUMMARY:Historic Indian Agency House Opening Celebration
DESCRIPTION:The Historic Indian Agency House celebrates the opening of its 87th Season\, along with the Fort Winnebago Surgeon's Quarters.  There will be an Apple Tree Dedication Ceremony at noon\, followed by homemade apple pie and ice cream. \n\n\n\nAs part of our 5 year plan\, HIAH is re-creating an 1830's apple orchard\, similar to the one Juliette writes about in her book Waubun.  By planting sponsored trees for 5 years\, the end result will be a teaching orchard\, where we will be able to educate the public on how to care for an orchard\, tree trimming\, making apple cider\, baking an apple pie over an open fire\, and maybe even an apple tasting and wine sampling! \n\n\n\nPlease contact HIAH if you would like to sponsor a heritage apple tree in 2020.
