The Holiday Train stops in Portage to raise cash and awareness for hunger relief efforts and includes a musical show. The train is decked out in thousands of lights, with wonderful colors. A boxcar contains a stage with live entertainers who ride along on the train that put on an outdoor music concert for all of you.
You are asked to bring non-perishable food items or cash donations for the pantry. All proceeds and donations collected at the stop will go to the local food pantries in Portage which benefit our area residents.
Starting at 12:30pm, the Portage Rotary will be hosting Hot Chocolate & Cookies(while supplies last). Make sure to come early and join in the fun!
A brightly decorated train will be traveling across the U.S. in support of local food banks. The Holiday Train program allows employees, customers and communities to come together to help people in need.
Each year, thousands of people gather along Canadian Pacific Railway’s route to enjoy the arrival of a brightly decorated train and watch a live holiday concert.
This year, country music singer Terri Clark will be performing at our stop.
