Debbie Drew, Director of St. John's Child Development Center 
Debbie has over 25 years of working in early childhood education. Quality child care is critical to a child's development and the ability of a parent to work and care for their family responsibilities.
 
Debbie will be talking with us on the challenges seen in child care during the COVID-19 pandemic and what now comes with raising a child during and after the pandemic. She will share her ideas and initiatives to move the Child Development Center forward to ensure that every child receives that needed education and care.  
 
St. John’s Child Development Center is a  5-Star Youngstar provider by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families. At St. John's Child Development Center (CDC), they believe that children are unique individuals who should always be treated as such. During the early years, children need a stimulating and loving environment that will provide them with experiences that will aid them in development to their full potential. St. John's Child Development Center aids parents by providing a structured, Christian environment for learning and growing. St. John's CDC has been part of the Portage Community since 2001 and most of their staff have Bachelor's or Associate Degrees in Early Childhood.
