Topic: Decoding People’s Personal Perspectives - Shifting the Way You Think to be more Positive
Our brains are wired to focus on, dwell on and remember all the "bad" stuff. This increases our stress and can cause us to lose our motivation, our resilience and decrease our overall wellbeing. Tina will share tips and strategies from Positive Psychology that make it easier to be optimistic and upbeat and improve communication, teamwork, resiliency to change, and work culture.
We don’t observe the world, we interpret it based on our own personal perspectives. Because we all have different life experiences, different personalities and different outlooks that shape our perspectives, this can make our interactions challenging. What’s more, our brains trigger a “threat” alert when we meet someone with different preferences and priorities than us. Understanding and reminding ourselves that these differences are not bad, but interesting improves our ability to connect, collaborate and communicate with the people around us. This program helps people understand their own personal perspective and how to identify and appreciate those of others.
