Columbia County Fair consists of all the events that one would expect to see at a fair. It includes a Junior Pleasure Horse Show on Monday, July 25th at 8 AM and an Open Dog Show also on Monday, July 25th at 6 PM.
Junior entry and judging day is Tuesday, July 26th beginning at 2 PM. Open entry day is also Tuesday, July 26th with judging on Wed. July 27th.
Livestock/animal shows begin with the rabbit judging at 9 AM on Wed. July 27th with the swine show on Wed. July 27th at 5 PM. Both the beef and sheep shows are on Thur. July 28th at 9 AM. Not to be forgotten the dairy, poultry and goat shows are on Fri. July 29th.
The animal events are completed on Saturday, July 30th with the Horse Speed Show at 8:30 AM.
The Columbia County Fair officially opens on Wed. July 27th with the carnival opening at 6 PM with specials each day of the fair until closing day on Sunday, July 31st. The grandstand events begin on Wed. July 27th at 7 PM. The events continue on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 7 PM. The commercial buildings open on Wed. July 27th with vendors selling and/or promoting a wide variety of products. The commercial buildings are open from 10 AM to 10 PM from Wed. to Sat. with the commercial buildings open until 4 PM on the last day of the fair.

Fair officially opens on Wed. July 27th but there are events scheduled on Monday, July 25th and also on Tuesday, July 26th.
Columbia County Fairgrounds at Veterans' Memorial Field in Portage
There is no gate fee nor parking fee. Admission is charged for the grandstand events. The carnival charges for rides, etc.
