It's pretty straightforward - we're doing a Culver's Cares night on next Monday - the 25th. Any purchases made from 5 - 8pm - a portion benefits Navigating Autism.
Navigating Autism was created in 2009 to offer a place where recently diagnosed Wisconsin families can come for clear and unbiased information - to help them access existing supports and resources in the community. It's 100% volunteer operated and the information is focused on Wisconsin. Developed BY families, FOR families.
There are a variety of resources available to families in our area, but they aren't always easily accessible or well known. Navigating Autism offers information in easily understood terms to help parents become empowered with good information and to make direct connections to the resources to improve their lives.

Additionally, April is recognized nationally as autism awareness month - the CDC recently announced that nationally, 1 in 68 8 year olds are affected by autism, and in Wisconsin it's reported to be closer to 1 in 92. Autism is a spectrum disorder, affecting different people in different ways, though their lifetime.
