Lessons Learned-  A Journey through Alzheimer’s Disease

Dave and Mona Matijevich will each share their stories and lessons learned through their journey with the disease. Dave will share his experiences with mild cognitive impairment. He had a series of concussions throughout his life and began having difficulties at work. Mona will share her experiences as caregiver for both Dave and her mother who has Alzheimer’s.

Dementia Friendly training will follow. Learn how to better recognize a person with memory or thinking impairments and to better understand what businesses and community members can do to serve and support people with cognitive challenges.
