The Friends of MacKenzie is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote environmental education and support the work of the WI DNR in the operation of the MacKenzie Center in Poynette, WI. We help with the spring maple program, help maintain trails and grounds, provide scholarships to enable school groups to visit, and help with special events and fundraising (and have a lot of fun while doing so). If this sounds like something you’d like to be involved with, please consider attending our next board meeting. Our September 13th Friends of MacKenzie Board meeting will be held in the Badger Den at the MacKenzie Center at 6:30 pm. Board meetings are open to all and we hope that by holding this one in the evening, those who can't make our usual morning meeting time may be able to join us. We'd love to have more input from the membership and the public and we hope that some of you may consider becoming more active with our activities, events, and our board after you have a chance to attend one of our meetings. Light refreshments will be served. Hope to see you then! If this goes well, we are considering having an evening meeting once each quarter with our annual meeting (Thursday, January 19, 2017) being the next opportunity. Send an email to friendsofmackenzie@gmail.com if you have any questions. You can also visit our website www.friendsofmackenzie.org
