Ice Bowl Paddle on New Years Day 2018 Following a tradition that was started over 20 years ago, paddlers from all over the state gather for the first paddle of the New Year.

Lake Columbia is a balmy 68 degrees, so the paddle is great winter fun. Plan to put in at 10 AM. Depending on weather, we'll paddle for a half hour to a couple of hours. Afterwards, we'll continue to Portage for lunch and a bowl game at the Cactus Club, 102 E. Cook St., (608) 742-0222.
By the way, several not so crazed paddlers skip the paddle and simply meet us at the Cactus Club around noon. (The Cactus Club opens at 11:00).
