Historic Indian Agency House Living History Weekend

The Historic Indian Agency House will once again welcome a talented group of historic reenactors on Saturday September 10. In honor of the release of "The Silver Man," the new Wisconsin Historical Society Press book about John Kinzie, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the Indian Agent, his wife Juliette, and other characters that called Fort Winnebago home in the late 1820s and early 1830s.

Reenactments will be held from 10am until 3pm. Light refreshments will be offered, and signed copies of "The Silver Man" will be available for purchase in the museum shop. Admission is free, though donations are welcome.

All proceeds from this event fund the continued operation of the Historic Indian Agency House, which is owned by non-profit group The National Society of The Colonial Dames of America in the State of Wisconsin.

More information about the Agency House and the Fall Reenactment is available online at www.agencyhouse.org, or by calling (608) 742-6362.
