Admission to “Peril at the Portage,” which includes a guided tour, cake and punch, is $9.00 for adults, $7 for seniors, $3 for students, or $20 for families. Admission is free for active duty military and their families, veterans, and children ages five and under.

Annual living history reenactment, "Peril at the Portage, an 1830s Melodrama", will entertain and educate guests on how settlers on the frontier may have spent their free time, from demonstrating bare knuckle fighting, to at-home musicals and theatre, to discussing the importance of reading out loud as entertainment, and finally the history of popcorn with a live demonstration on how it would have been popped in the 1830s.
This event is an "outdoor theater hike" where the audience will move from scene to scene and is encouraged to bring their own blanket or chair.
Melodramas will take place at 11am and 2:30pm, with House tours from 9:30-11, 1-2:30pm.
