Please join us on October 22 from 10:00am-3:00pm for the Friends of MacKenzie Fall Festival.
Saturday Oct 22, 2016
MacKenzie Center
This family friendly event will give you a chance to participate in some of the many activities available at MacKenzie including archery, air guns, compass skills and geocaching, wildlife tours, fire building, hiking, and studying the plant and critter life in our pond.
In addition you can learn about (and touch) real furs and skulls, cut a “wood cookie” using a two-person crosscut saw, make leaf and wildlife track pressings and try other crafts. Come participate in some of our seasonal activities including pumpkin painting, a hay bale maze, gunny sack races, face painting, scarecrow making, and more! The $10/vehicle admission covers parking and all activities. Food and gift shop items will be available at an additional cost. All proceeds stay at the MacKenzie Center to support the facility and its programs! Flyer is attached.
We are also in need of volunteers to help with this event. In addition to helping with activities, we’ll need people to help with food, parking, greeting and collecting admission, and as crossing guards. You can work all day (9:30 – 3:30) or take a shift (9:30 – 12:30 or 12:30 – 3:30). Contact Deb Wearne-Neurohr at friendsofmackenzie@gmail.com
