“Building beautiful parks for our community”

On Saturday, August 2^nd the Merrimac Community Festival will be held again at Merrimac’s Memorial Park.  New to the festival this year is music provided by the Flip City Live Band from 3 to 5pm and 6 to 8pm. 
 
The band has five talented, solid musicians and outrageously fun characters playing radio favorites that span the last six decades.   If you love to dance or just listen to hot music, you will love Flip City Live.
 
Festival events from 8am to 8pm will include fun for all ages including a kids’ super-hero fun run and kids’ activity tent, arts, crafts and food vendors, water ski shows,  a chicken barbeque, a raffle, beverage tent, horseshoe pitching, the hilarious “chicken drop” game, and a pork barbeque.  Proceeds from the festival go to the Merrimac Parks Fund to expand and improve the village’s parks.
