The Production Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing production, packaging, assembly, and warehouse operations to ensure customer requirements for quality, cost, safety, and delivery are consistently met. This is a hands-on, non-exempt supervisory role that works directly alongside production staff and members while providing leadership, training, quality control and operational oversight. The position ensures production operations align with customer specifications, internal quality standards, safety requirements, and individual member habilitation plans. It also supports Northwoods’ mission by providing structured production work through which individuals with diverse abilities develop positive work habits, job skills, and employability.

  • No weekends and nights.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.
  • All hours worked in excess of 40 hours per work week are compensated in accordance with applicable federal and state wage and hour laws.

 

Requirements

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; preference given to applicants with post-secondary education
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in a production environment, including quality control
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with individuals with diverse abilities
  • Proficiency in computer applications
  • Ability to pass required background checks
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain
